Are police scanner apps illegal?

Come on really? It's not like google checks what goes in the market...

To the op it depends on the state, but most make it illegal to have one in your car. However, since it's on your phone chances are you're not going to get caught. But yes, it is technically "illegal" to have if you use it in the car. At home, no it's not illegal in most states

clearly you dont live in fl or ny, the two states i'm always in which both dont allow it in your car...haha

Actually I would be allowed. Vol. Firefighter/Paramedic....
