Verizon confirmed today that ICS is coming to the BIONIC. No time frame given...

This is all old news for a long time now. Everyone just needs to be patient stop the complaining and moaning and give it time. If not what's the point of keeping the bionic. I personally love my bionic and am very happy with it. And on the + side guys we should be happy that they are giving us ICS afterall that pretty much means they plan to keep us in the update loop and we haven't been pushed to the side or tagged obsolete just yet. Haha.

I think what primarily makes people happy is that when Motorola came out with their own update they had the Bionic listed with a discriptor that suggested "we haven't even begun to work on the upgrade."

This kind of allays those fears.

Yea I remember that and saw it as well. But there are three devices that are damn near the same razr bionic and D4. Once they begin I don't think it will be that big of a deal considering there are only minor differences between the devices. And who know they may do a one size fits all and make them all identical. Who knows.

Thats awesome! It must be true since its in ALL CAPS.

I'm not sure why people are saying we wont see ICS before 2013......typically with Motorola for their newer phones we see updates every 2-3 months. The Bionic has now been out what 5 months roughly? Since it came out we have seen 2 official OTA updates. Since the most recent one came out in early Feb, i'd say it is safe to assume we will see ICS released in April/May. I just hope that it is a more stable version of ICS than 4.0.3 is on my Xoom...

And also because a verizon store employee said it. The store reps rarely know more than what I can find here at droid forums. I hope you are right Pillmuzik. The current version is solid for me, but i'm always up for some ice cream.

I have been toying with Droid Th3orys ICS rom.....it is very nice and I think I would prefer his version over the one that Verizon shoves down our throats.....especially the WiFi tether program it comes with. I dont use it as a daily driver yet because I am very dependent on my bluetooth headset and that isnt ready for prime time yet (tons o static)

but the funny thing is I now may never see ICS on my Bionic because it came down the other day that my company, instead of letting us expense part of our cell phone bill, is now going to provide us with company paid phones. They asked for my input on which one and I got everyone into a HTC Rezound....... so basically I think I am just going to cancel my contract all together and save myself 200/month

I wonder if they would see the humor in my rooting the company phone and putting on custom ROMs :D

What company do you work for? I'll drop my resume today! My company gave us pos Blackberrys. It is OS6 and the speed can be measured with a calendar. Then they said we could have an app that would allow me to access company email with my personal phone. I thought that be good until I read the fine print. I have to abide by company policy for phone use. If I were to lose my phone for more than 24 hours they would slick the entire phone. No thanks!
