Jose: Last time I spoke to customer service over the phone they said pre-orders started today, and the phone would ship by 12/8.

Sarah: We in the same department with sales and we do not have any information. What I would recommend you do is sign up for email alerts and you would be able to see when the device may launch.

Jose: Could you give me a time frame at least? My phone is in really bad shape and I need a new phone asap! It freezes a lot when I try to make calls. I'm afraid I'll have to make an emergency 911 call one of these days and my phone won't work, and I'll bleed out and die

Jose: I just don't get how customer service gives me a confirmed date, but sales has no information on it. Was I lied to?

Marcus: Honestly the best thing out now would be the Droid razr. it is really thin, and durable, and has a large screen, front facing camera for video chatting, dual core processor for awesome phone speed adn it is 4G capable for faster internet

Yeah, it sounded pretty promising to me that the guy told me that he was waiting to upgrade to the Nexus too. Then, he also pretty much recommended that I wait for it to be released by Christmas.

I am not saying the CS reps aren't in the dark on most things but they are obviously smart enough to not give you any details on the phone. VZW has not announced this phone yet, why would any sales or customer service rep try to get you to buy a phone they don't have in stock yet? It doesn't benefit them whatsoever to try to sell you a phone they can't even sell. Of course they are going to be "dumb" to the Nexus and try and sell you on current phones. Commission will do that.

I just got logged on and saw this thread. Coincidently, I had a chat with VZW CS today, also. If I had known, I would have saved my convo. I did copy and print it, though b/c I wanted to be sure not to be screwed out of my NE2 that is five months old. I have my last NE2 and a "Loyalty Discount" burning to love a Galaxy Nexus! I mentioned the GNex but she didn't give out any info on it. :blink: Fortunately, my OG Droid is still in great shape and running fine.
Say wha? :money: What was your original upgrade date again? How did you get an early upgrade? :crazy: Mine is July 2012. Going to try and get it early.
