yea thats where i first looked. thought they would have updated their review.

twitter is really good, i almost never use it either. i wouldnt call it a social networking site for a group of friends, its more to follow famous people, or in this case, famous techy people
Yea i do read up on pete sometimes through, hes always doing some tech talk with cyanogen and stuff.

So this just came out. Apparently the pic now on the Google Galaxy Nexus Tech Specs page shows a varied darker LTE version of the phone (flip the phone around in the 3d spin view).

Article: Thickness Comparison: LTE vs. GSM Galaxy Nexus – Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
Google Page for GN: Galaxy Nexus

Doesn't look that different but definitely a darker, more graphite color. Probably impossible to tell what it will look like IRL by looking at this tho... I pray it won't be bad. They also talk about the thickness difference but looks practically the same to me. I notice that this virtual model doesn't have the small power icon next to the side power button.

Also, someone in the comments posted a slightly better compaison using the virtual tool, because for some reason the article's side pc looks almost black and white (look at the LTE version's dock contacts...they are gray instead of gold..??): http://i43.tinypic.com/ix5yr5.png

Awesome, all black! Looks much more high quality than the ugly grey.

I think we need to give the all-black G-Nex time to settle in. I for one like the fact that Verizon customers will have a different looking device and black just looks sexy on anything. I think it actually makes the G-Nex look slimmer.

I'm really digging the black. The gray was one of the things I disliked about the looks of GN. I'm also glad it's still very thin after the LTE radio was put in. Can't wait.

It's definitely the better option, makes it look more high end, like an iPHone.

Picked up a RAZR off craigslist to hold me over until the GNEX drops. Got a pretty good deal it was brand new in the box. So far not a bad phone at all. I'm fairly impressed. Maybe I can do a comparo when I get my hands on a nexus. :happy3:

I think the difference has a lot more to do with the conditions in which the photo of each device were taken than the actual look of the device.

Truss is correct. This was covered a few weeks ago when these images first surfaced. The image on the right is an official Nexus picture. The image on the left is a poorly doctored picture. You can see etching on the bottom-right of the phone where it was poorly photoshopped. Anyway, this device will be identical to the GMS version already released, except the thickness. All black or not, this device is fricking sweet...

Are you sure that that is correct? The "photoshopped" portion looks an awful lot like the render shown on the tech specs page of the device and it does look different even on the google website.

US: Galaxy Nexus

Europe: Galaxy Nexus
