The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

How long will you guys wait on this phone, I have waited a long time, now thinking of going a different direction even more now that I here the Google Wallet (Stock) was nixed?

For now I will wait as long as it takes, with a stock Google phone coming, I cannot even think about getting a Blur or Sense phone.

Just there is really nothing else to talk about until we get a release date. We talked and analyzed this thing to death so now its a matter of sit back and wait. So until then this thread is somewhat of a free for all.

I was watching yt videos, sorta renewed my willingness to wait. On one, they clicked on an app, it was absolutely instant. My oc'ed MIUI/ICS DX works really well, (played with a buddies bionic, not a huge leap from my rooted, "fixed" dx imo) but the nexus looks unbelievable. Still pissed and bewildered why we get nothing from vzw. I think a huge majority of consumers are buying based on advertising and bling factor, the people rabidly waiting for the nexus are hard core, but a small part of the buying public. Also, logic would dictate big launch pre- Christmas, right?
Just one guys opinion...

I would say no just because pre-orders are not a guarantee nor is advanced notice of release.

this is def just a rumor. but yesterday my friend got some inside information that the verizon galaxy nexus would not just be a clone of the hspa+ version with lte and a bigger battery. he told me that it would have OMAP 4470 processor which has a much better graphics processor (powerVR SGX 544 @384mhz) than the 4460. I think it has the same graphics processor as the A5 processor that's in the iphone 4s. except its one core instead of the 2 cores in A5. he said the camera is still the same though. and also the battery is a little bigger. but we already knew that. but like I said I didn't see it for myself nor did I here it directly from the person so take it with a humongous grain of salt.

that would be great, would be a much better phone than... but seems very unlikely. everything has said 4460. this is definatley a rumor id love to be true but....does your friend still believe in santa claus??
