Swipe away Swype

How do I make Swype go away after I've finished typing?

It often gets in the way of the 'Done' or 'Submit' buttons. After Swyping, I go to the Android keyboard, move my finger from top to bottom to make the keyboard disappear THEN push 'Done' or 'Submit'. Can't I just make swype disappear???

Don't feel too bad. It took me awhile to learn that the back button is almost universal for getting rid of whatever is at the "front" of the screen and get to what's "behind" it.
