I just read an article from CNN stating that effective Jan. 15, 2012 Verizon will be charging a $2.00 fee to pay your bill over the phone or on the internet. The only way to avoid the fee is to go into a verizon store and pay your bill. My guess is that gets more people in the door so they can sell them stuff, obviously. What if I don't have the time in my busy schedule to do that? What if I live in the middle of nowhere (which is why I HAVE to use verizon, because no other carrier gets service out here) and I have no verizon store nearby for me to "pop" into quickly & avoid the sales pressure to pay my bill? Is verizon going to pay for the gas for that?! I have 8 lines between 2 contracts (3 lines are smartphones) and I believe my bill monthly is more than high enough to cover their costs....now i know, it's just $2.00 but when I already pay so much....seriously?!
