I asked in another forum about what advantages I'd see from root the Dinc. (Note - I'm VERY experienced w/rooting my old Droid 1, but I'm not seeing a compelling need to root the Dinc). The Dinc, with some minor tweaks seems to do 99% of what I want w/o rooting.
The only issue I have with the phone is battery life in areas w/marginal cell signal. At home, my standard battery can last 2 days. At work, where the signal stinks, I'm lucky to get half a day.
So - has anyone experienced improved battery life by switching to a different ROM?
