Gonna build cyanogenmod 7 for the pro

Hopefully the keyboard issue is fixed in the next build. I'm still having to force close it, but without the Android keyboard enabled, I can't text anyone. If it's not enabled, the phone tells me to pull out the keyboard to type. Obviously, that can't be done. I guess this ROM thinks that this phone has a slide-out keyboard.

So last night, my battery died and when it came back up...couldn't get data back up and running. I tried rebooting it, nothing, switched airplane mode on, rebooted it, turned off airplane mode, nothing. It just sits there without any 1x or 3g. So I pulled the battery for a minute, put it back in...1x connected but 3g wouldn't connect. Today I've been on 1x all day, Google talk won't connect. What is going on?

I got around this by downloading Handscent, an SMS replacement. If you use it, you will not be able to type into the standard box. Get around the limitation by clicking on the small arrow on the bottom of the text box, which will open a full-sized text box, that you can type in. A bit silly, but it works well.

sorry guys my power had gone out and i had things to do. anyways, it doesn't look like there will be word suggestions coming to the pro with the cyanogenmod keyboard. if you need your word suggestions you can use GO keyboard from the market. it's free and i actually like it more than the stock keyboard app as the word suggestions are larger and easier to press

another thing to mention is that if you're plagued by the stick settings bug where you check an option off but it doesn't get remembered unless you reboot, the problem only occurs if you reboot your phone with the wifi on. if you turn off your wifi before rebooting your phone, the issue does not occur at all

I figured something came up with the storm, well I will be hanging around for the signal when its thru uploading, thanks

Well here's the deal guys - a number of servers for kernel.org were hacked. Google, getting their kernel source from there, decided it would be best to close down their source trees for android in order to ensure that devices built on their source (which is partially kernel.org's source) until the matter is resolved and it's safe to build again. This will cease builds for the next few days :( sorry guys

one question then. i thought you had a build with the camera fixed already and could not post cause of storm. but im guessing your internet it back cant you post that build and yah i know no NEW build will be around till thats fixed but cant we have camera build. thats the only reason im on stock cause netflix and camera dont work

I was thinking about that, but in the last build, the keyboard occasionally force closed and I didn't think people would be happy with that. If you guys want me to post I definitely will!

okay I'm uploading now, you don't need to sbf or anything like that, only do this if you're coming from the gingerbread kernel! if you don't know if you do, if the motorola boot logo for your phone is red then use this! if it's still white then do not!

just reboot into clockwork, choose install zip from sdcard, and choose 902.zip. after it installs, you can go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache, and after that's done, wipe the regular cache. there will be no need to reinstall gapps. I've discovered that the updates merge quite nicely with the system you already have on the phone so there is no need to wipe the system beforehand. just choose zip from sdcard and install and wipe the two caches

the md5sum for the build 802.zip is d328d5d72208703c888714c5b5be26b5

download here: enjoy! sorry i forgot you guys didn't have a working camera or video or I would have published a working build sooner!

Thank you!

And so can I install over my rooted Gingerbread, and I must install another keyboard app, but the camera don't go?

edit: I can't install over my rooted gb without clean all my settings...
edit 2: The camera is ok!!!!!!

Did you correct other bugs?
