Droid's Making Jobs Recognize

Its not everyday that Steve Jobs, the guy that is supposedly the most arrogant CEO out there, says something nice about the competition, and so when we get a chance we have to remember it. Today Jobs in a investor conference said “right now it’s a battle for developers and mindshare, and right now the iPhone and Android are winning that battle." Thats nothing that great, but keep in mind Job's has insulted Android many times before in alternative interviews. My favorite insult was when he said "If you want Porn, Get Android, they have an App for that", well it seems now he can say "If you want any application we have, from an app store that is not populated with hundreds of fart apps, get Android."

This quote made my day, and I am sure it did the same thing for you.

I have a Mac, an iPad, and absolutely nothing against Steve Jobs. The admins of this site even have support forums for things like the iPad. Why the heavy remarks about Jobs? Is that necessary, really?

It's been quite vitriolic since the reports of the vPhone.....
I only think its funny because of how hypocritical the thread is.
"fart apps"... a usual accusation from a Fandroid.. The fact is, EVERY market is full of "fart apps" of one kind or another. MS has crapware, Apple has crapware, AND Google has crapware.

Somebody buys all that crap(ware) though, don't they?

The power of fragmentation is knowledge gained from the OS running on multiple devices. The downside is increased developer complications. However in the end I think it will result in a better, stronger, faster Android. Lol sounds like Steve Austin; the bionic Android. The 6 million dollar Droid. Hahaha.

Any remark that bashes Uncle Steve is fine by me! That egotistical, self-centered, arrogant prick of a human being can't get enough bashing and bad press. Then again I speak from the wonderful experience of meeting him on three separate occasions. Each being worse than the last. Necessary? Maybe, maybe not. Fun? Absolutely!

I have to go against you on this one hook : )

Jobs has been bashing Google/Android BIG time as of late.

Some of his comments are just downright ignorant too

Funny, I've met Lisa Jobs and she seemed like a very nice lady. Maybe you caught Steve on a bad day, or maybe the apple does fall far from the tree.

At least he recognizes that Apple and Google are the market leaders and will be for a while.

With that said, someone needs to come out with a legit Android tablet. Not some 7 inch glorified smartphone. I'm talking something thats 10 or 11 inches, has full Android capability, and can be put out there and touted by the providers as the flagship tablet of Android to rival the iPad. So far, we have nothing that does that.

Well, you know what they say -- imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but insulting your opponent just means you have nothing nice to say about yourself. :)
