Motorola has always been better then HTC with Battery life.. Motorola has a battery Manager to help with Battery life. Dual core does not use the Battery like single cores does It uses lees of the Battery then single cores does. My question to you is you do not think that HTC will not follow suit in this next year with Locked encrypted Boot loaders. then you guys are in for a rude awakening.
"Motorola has always been better then HTC with Battery life." Agreed.
HTC will eventually have locked/encrypted bootloaders. Agreed.
Dualcore phones use less battery than single core. Really? How? This I want to know. If it's true then :icon_ banana: but I would assume the opposite.
I've used SetCPU with my Droid 1 and Thunderbolt. And whenever an app tolls the CPU, the CPU instantly jumps up to the highest clock (100%). It isn't like a PC where the CPU is at 20%. That's my observations.
Dual core processors were engineered to reduce power consumption which mean better battery life. In other words because power consumption is split across 2 cores and 1 core isn’t overworked with lots of heavy lifting, each core is more often in a “resting” or “relaxed” state which exerts less energy. Bottom line? Longer battery life. It was originally stated that it will match the Battery life of the DX. When I had my DX. I got about a good 8hrs use of it and that was heavy use of it. That is surfing and forums and using it for work plugged into the overhead. Know that my wife has it she gets 2 and a half days easily because she just uses it for txt, phone use and surfing the net.
