What is the manufacturer's warranty on the droid? I got mine in November 2009 and I am having a problem with it.

The phone won't link up automatically to my home WiFi connection anymore. The settings are set for it to automatically find the connections and mine is "remembered". When I come back home I have to manually go into the wireless settings. The green check box is lit up but it says the WiFi is disconnected. I have to manually remove the check mark and then click on it again to start the WiFi.

Would I be able to take this back to Verizon? Or do I have to file an insurance claim?

I don't believe this would be an insurance issue (regardless of whether you have insurance on it or not). If it's an actual problem with the phone, and not a conflict with some other app or a setting you've changed or something of the sort, it would be covered by the manufacturer's warranty and you could probably take it in to Verizon for a CLNR (certified like new replacement)
