I'm finding that with WiFi enabled at home my battery is lasting longer. It would appear that a WiFi connection uses less power than a 3G connection. I just have to remember to disconnect it when I leave.

I found this a few weeks ago after I got my VZW bill and saw I had used over a gigabyte of data. I'm always on wifi when I am at home/school/work so I couldn't imagine I was possibly using this much data. Turns out this policy was switching my music/chat apps/etc to the 3g network when the phone fell asleep.

It kind of surprises me Verizon has that as a default. I'd imagine quite a lot of us connect to our wireless to use or own bandwidth, but Verizon almost tricks you into using theirs. If they had it set to never, I'm sure it would reduce a bit of traffic from the android guys.
