how did you do it? all of these posts talk about doing the update, but no one actually says how they did it. help please!!!!
To do the update you hit *228 and select option #2 and it takes about a minute or less and your PRL is updated to the latest on your phone.

Updated again - I'm also now at 51739. I'm gonna play them in the lotto - am I guaranteed a win? ;)

I'm not happy though - I went from four bars to one... :( I'm assuming that one bar under 5139 is equal to 4 bars under 51731 (my previous PRL).. :rofl3: mikey

lol, I'm having a bad reception day too. I can't stay at 3g, I keep going to 1x. But it has nothing to do with the PRL's I updated mine a few days ago.

PRL stands for Preferred Roaming List. We should all be on the same PRL if we have our phones updated.

I'm in southeastern NC/northeastern SC everyday. Just used *228, Opt 2 on my Droid and received PRL 40059. It was at 40057 prior. Looks like I'm the only one in this thread with a 4xxxx PRL. I wonder why. ???
I was 40059, today I got 40060.
Uh oh! Drop it like a hot rock and run fer your life! 40060 is a Code Red for "about to explode"! Yikes!!

Disclaimer: Feeling silly from all this snow.. :icon_ devil:

I wonder also why you have that number. Maybe things happen slower down south? ;) mikey
