Does not look like this is coming. Not sure if I should try an iphone 5 or 6 at this point.
If you do go the iPhone route you would be shooting yourself in the foot if you got the 5. It is at it's End of Life phase later this year.
If I ever "go the iPhone route", do not shoot me in the foot, shoot me in the head. Thank you.
Awesome to see this thread resurface but sad that the Motorola Droid 5 never came to fruition. But the reality is that there is just not enough demand for qwerty keyboards. Right now people are either wanting large screens (5.5+) or mid sized screens (5.0+). But I do think there is a niche customer base that will buy qwertys. The question is which manufacturer is willing to spend the money to manufacture the device?
I'm surprised people still want qwerty keyboards when we have all these amazing swipe methods that provide so much faster inputs methods. I guess old habits die hard.
some people like the feel of tactile buttons as it helps with typing. Though swipe (swype) has come a long way I still yet to say it is as fast and accurate as a physical kb. Question is am I willing to give up screen real estate for a thicker phone with a smaller less resolution screen for a physical kb, and the market has answered that question especially with devices like the note 4 where you can use a pen to write your messages.
75% of the users on this site know more about upcoming devices than 95% of Verizon reps do.
I would put zero stock in what he said.
More like 99% of vzw reps.. They don't know until a week before it drops, typically
But I know ..... ok no I don't I have failed on the last few predictions.
Just trying to give a handful of them the benefit of the doubt.
