I tried restoring 2 different backups in clockwork and got soft loops at the boot screen. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Wiping cache inbetween? Which strap are you using?

Not sure myself. You could try that, cache doesn't usually bother anything.

I'd clear the cache and go to advanced settings and clear dalvik cache as well, your reboot will be slow the first time around but that might help. Most of the roms for bionic have addon packs and most of those tell you to do that, wipe cache and dalvik cache... I am guessing the reason is due to this devices way of handling databases.

I got the same exact thing. I did wipe everything prior to restore but still had the issue, the animation would run until it was about to finally load then it would restart. Next time I tried backing up I wiped cache and dalvik before I backed up and later restore worked. Not sure how or why or what but that is what got it to work for me.
