screen seems as if does not respond as it once did

My Droid X2 is not rooted, but the last week or 2 it seems as if the screen does not respond as it once did. I thought I wasn't touching the screen hard enough but my daughter used it today and said it doesn't work like her Droid 2. I can touch and swipe to unlock the screen and have to do it 2 or 3 times to get it unlocked, almost as if the phone has to think about doing it instead of just doing it. Kinda hard to explain but not as responsive as it use to be. I thought my fingers were cold when I first noticed it...
I have 2 Droid X2's and this one is the only one that acts this way... Was thinking of doing a reset and see if it helps but thought someone may have had this issue before and figured it out and can share what they found...

Seen a bit of a change by uninstalling Ice Cream Sandwich Keyboard by johntanmi app.

Your digitizer is getting old, its a problem for most older devices.
