I followed this procedure to unroot my Samsung Galaxy s4 and I can't delete any bloatware. Why?
How to safely root the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 - TechRepublic.

Yes, Root checker verifies that "this device has root access!"

I just bought it last week from Costco and it's SCH-I545, Android 4.3, I545VRUEMK2. Any other info can be found in my screenshot.

Instead of deleting apps I used an app called Root Explorer to rename the file types of the unwanted apps and that freezes them and removes the icon from the phone.

Most want to delete these apps to free up space.

Yea as stated rooting itself won't allow you to remove anything. You need a root Explorer to rename them from apk to bak (which won't free up space but will remove the icons.) . Or an app like ROM toolbox or titanium backup to freeze or delete them.

Rooting just allows you access to /system where most of these apps reside
