I don't know since I haven't flashed it, it looks like at this stage it's pretty much Vanilla ICS but I'm sure it has its own toolbox or settings menu for extra customization.

It looks good and Encounter was one of/if not the first true ICS rom for us so it must be pretty good.

Agreed, I'll do a quick write up/review once it finishes downloading and I get a chance to flash it

Review

Just got done playing around with the ROM so I figured I'd write up a quick review:

As it says in the post about the ROM, there are a few issues when it boots (takes a loooooooooong time on the first boot and the screen just goes blank towards the end of the boot animation making it kind of confusing, I couldn't tell whether something was wrong or if it was still booting). It's very smooth and fluid but noticeably not as fast as Gummy. The biggest drawback, to me at least, was the lack of an extended customization menu like Gummy has with Gummy settings. There is a section of the settings for extra customization, containing two main subheadings: "Theme" and "System." As of this build, "Theme" is still just a placeholder and will only bring you to a page explaining that. Several options under "System" are also still just placeholders but most of the important things are complete and functional (notification power widget, clocking settings, etc). Beyond that, as far as I could tell in the time I played around with it, it's your basic ICS ROM with everything you'd expect from ICS.

This is obviously a HUGE change and improvement from the old EncounterICS X builds a few months ago and even though in my opinion it isn't quite on the same level as Gummy and not really ready for use as a daily driver it's a solid ROM and I'm looking forward to improvements in future builds.

Shaggy if i remember right your on gingerbread now because your running cm7 on the Gingerbread Kernel. You sbf'd to 605 and installed cm7 so you can just do all your wipes (including data) and install boosted ics without sbfing.

Sometimes learning the hard way is the best way because you always remember the mistake you made.
