I created an Exchange account and it asked me to create a password, and now it requires a password in order to unlock the home screen whenever I press the top button.

How can I make the passcode not necessary?

Thanks.

I have the same problem on the Incredible. I have password enabled for exchange policy. I tried the No Lock app that removes the password completely. Is there a free app or setting that can password lock the screen after 2 hours and screen timeout after 2 minutes.

Look for an app called Lockpicker in the market. Had the same issue and it has worked perfectly for eliminating the exchange pw requirement.

yes, I just found that app. Why would HTC force the passcode option on you if you use Exchange email? The Motorola Droid did not.

Weird, I have an exchange account via ActiveSync and it didn't require a password for me.

Password is only required if exchange policy is set requiring a password. I'm trying out Lockbot Free that can delay the password for 10 minutes but would like option for 2 hours which is not available.
