Font color Weather Bug sucks

I remember now. Its been almost a year since I had SS running on the original Droid. Got SS-X1.1 running on my DX. So far so good but I remember one thing I really didn't like, the font color in the top menu bar from Weather Bug Elite. Its black on the dark blue menu......

Any thoughts?

Wow. Ssx1.1 is truly amazing. You've made custom roms an art form I've had 2 issues though. Whenever I try to hide some of the unwanted icons..it doesn't work. A message comes up telling me it's hidden(kindle for example) and I go look in my drawer and its still there. Also everytime I try to overclock...my phone reboots.
Anyone else having this issue?
I was running Ssx then I loaded 2.3.340 and then Ssx 1.1. Never had a problem before but now I do?

Either way this rom is amazing. Great job.

OK - do ALL apps fail to hide? I assume if you check the superuser app, it shows as having permissions? If all this checks out ...

Open up Dev Tools, Terminal Emulator, type in 'su', accept the prompt. Then type mvki .. let me know what it says

Okay so here goes...I can hide every app except kindle. When I typed in the code it said it was deleted..but I can still see it and access it in my drawer? Hmm. Ill try rootexplorer and rename the file to .bak.

Yep, I think I know what the issue is (it's with my script). You should be able to do it via rootexplorer - thx!

I dont know man, Its just a very slick rom, minimal in some ways like the notification icons, just palin & simple. Fast, No Blur, No errors. i NEVER had errors on SS either on D1 or DX, I have sang your praises for a long time. If you check back thru my post alot of them is fan praise for your work, & recomending your roms to folks who want a daily driver. Like I said, Ill be back.. SS 4.95 is still the only rom I install for other people, because I KNOW it wont let them down, & the kernels are freaking awesome. I guess i just needed a little "strange" LoL :blackdroid:

Ha ha fair enough - and blur vs non-blur is a big enough difference for sure ... if I actually had time to flash other ROM's I'd at least see what else was out there, lol - but between SS, SSX, and the 50+ hrs a week at my real job - not much time left! And now Gingerbread!!

Star Struck

Wow, I got 2 replies from Chevy in one night, Im a little star struck, I feel like i just got a message fro Peyton Manning or Geezus... Chevy has been my hero for a long time, he's an awesome code slinger... & classy guy. I still got my SS signature saved, soon as SSX is updated I'll be back... Id still LOVE to know what kernel the man himself rocks on the OG Droid, & what his SetCPU settings are...

LOL, hey I'm just a regular guy, no stars here!!

I just run the stock kernel I put in my ROM, the 1.0LV ... and I do not run SetCPU, just the basic OC I include on my ROM ... I still have LOTS to do though, would like a UI interface for OC ... and of course for SSX I would like to have a ROM built from source ... but my time these days is very limited!

Finally (after switching to cyano git) have Gingerbread built - but it will be a WHILE before I get it the way I want it .. otherwise it would just look like a base ROM.

Chevy I LOVE your rom. I tried a few and yours is the best. I did try out liberty but I didn't like the battery indicator, the old droid look and feel, and it don't have voice search.

Don't give up on your ROM, Liberty is great, but it has bugs, so there will always be a need for alternatives.

I ran into quite the show stopper with Liberty, so now I'm giving Darkslide a shot. I'd run SSX but I'm not sold on all the blue.
