Would you buy a different battery for the Droid X if it was availible. Lets say 1/2 again to 3/4 more power than what we have on the standard battery. It would come with a different shaped cover because of the thicker battery. I have had other cellphones that have done this and with me reading today that over 300,000 Droid X's were sold the first week not including ones ordered but are on backorder. The 300K are for ones that have been activated.

I plan on getting the official extended from Moto as that is supposed to only add 1 mm to the thickness with the new battery cover. I've always been against larger batteries as I hate the bumps but for 1 mm I'll do it.
