Just picked up an Eris for hacking/development purposes... need some pointers.

Sup guys, I know the Eris is a craptastic phone, ecspecially because my D2G has like 120% more processing power.
Any way can anyone tell me the easiest quickest way to root, what is the latest Android versio/sense version we can run on this, and whats the highest stable overclock? Any input is appreciated.

there are several 2.3 roms out. but best to go over to xda and see which one would work best for you. there are also some very stable 2.1 and 2.2 roms out.
as for overclocking, if memory serves me, 710 is the preferred limit, anything over that is hit or miss, some phones can take it and some go crazy. hope this helps.
