How to copy my work docs from DX to pc?

I need to copy my work (documents, txt files, work lists, and time sheet data) from my DX to my PC to work on it, print it, merge with excel, ect.

Ive tried a couple of backup apps, but only the application is backed up to my pc. (no data is backed up). Seems like rooting is required to access most app data.

There must be an easy way to do this (sync app data to the pc). I must be missing something, I have done similar copies on previous bb's and Palms, and others must be doing this.

Ill root if I have to, as a last resort, so that I can access and copy my data to the pc.

But are there any other ways to move data to the pc without rooting?

OK thanks Ill try it out. Ive looked at SugarSync but it only syncs with the SD card and the application data/doc on my phone that I need to copy to my pc isnt stored on the SD card, otherwise I could manually copy it.
