Gmail acct will to accept password

Here is a new one. Setting up a second Gmail account on my phone and it rejects my sign on/password. I have verified numerous times they are entered in correctly but still gets rejected.

I deleted the account a few times and tried to set it up again from scratch but still, no go.
Anyone else had this issue?
