Droid 1 Appinventor Connection Issues

Hi all, I have a droid 1 and would like to dive into the appinventor. I have it all setup on my computer and have done everything I can read on connecting my phone to the blocks editor, but not having any luck. I keep getting this message: "app inventor cannot find any phones..."

I know it's there though. I can even see it in the device manager window.

I am running Win7 64bit if that matters... have checked for driver updates, have app extras installed... Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if the following link will help you, but you can give it a shot. Also while searching it seems that one possible solution is to try the 32-bit driver, until the 64-bit driver is ready for prime time from the manufacturer.
