When I read something I want to scroll straight up or down.

In the Google browser, when you scroll on a page bigger than your column, you often move sideways (horizontal scroll). Is there a way to lock this out? My Blackberry did this much better...

Get xScope and you've got a couple choices for a full page down with no chance for horizontal scrollin -- you can set it in the settings so the volume button scrolls up and down, or if you have the keyboard pulled out, space bar is page down, while shift+space bar is page up.
