A friend of mine wanted to get the 64GB model through Best Buy, but he was told they won't be carrying it. The phone associate told him that the 64GB model could only be purchased from Verizon.

It's certainly possible that the associate was wrong on either or both of those counts, but I've read elsewhere online about people being told that Best Buy won't be carrying the 64GB model.

I believe that rumor is correct. I'm looking at the box of mine right now and on the outside it says "Verizon Device Exclusive" for the 64 gig Turbo. I would have to believe that means you can only buy it through Verizon, not just that its exclusive to the carrier Verizon. I may be wrong since I haven't seen the boxes for the 32 gig models but the rumors and this on the side of the box seem to agree.

Best Buy takes for freaking ever to get new Moto phones. The Droid Ultra was out almost a month before my local Best Buy Mobile received their first shipment. And that was only two.

The droid name is exclusive to Verizon, so all 4 versions are exclusive. That would be my take on it.

I'm willing to wait for Best Buy to get. Hopefully they get it soon if they do. Maybe by black friday.
I really want to keep my unlimited data since I use over 20gb a month.

At 99.99 price, I'm assuming just the 32gb. Still a big deal considering we never got the Droid Maxx last year
