All it fixes is the SMS bug that google published a fix for awhile ago. Not much but atleast Moto is still pushing updates out
It will also, in all likelihood, unroot your phone. The workaround for that is to have a custom recovery installed, along with a custom rom. Their presence will block the OTA update from installing.
