WidgetLocker +*~+*~+*~+*~+*-- WOW!!!

OK, got that. But on the other sliders one slide turns the sound off. The Sense one doesn't do that, then?
Correct. The actual Sense UI keyguard doesn't have a sound on/off toggle. I tried to think of a way of adding it in there but didn't have any ideas of where/how to do so. I'm open to suggestions.

Great job with the latest update, live the new settings especially the no slider option. I did something interesting, instead if calling on adw launcher in power strip I have it call on the widget locker helper thing, now I don't have a home screen lol. I have everything I need in widget locker and power strip.

Just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents.. I love this app! even without using widgets, having a sense ui slider on my Froyo rom is amazing. Add the ability to have my music, teslaled and some other widget and I am happy.

As you guys can tell by him responding to this thread, the dev is great. I emailed him a while back with some bugs and feature requests and I'm pretty sure he's added/fixed everything I asked for.

It doesn't slow the phone down at all and works well with LauncherPro and QuickDesk.

That being said, here's my new set of feature requests ;) :

Small things:

-Add an option to change the date format on the Sense UI slider.
-Add AM/PM to the time on the Sense UI slider
-Move the date on the Sense UI slider down a few pixels so it's fully on the little black band as opposed to partially on the band and partially on the grey slider (I explained that poorly lol, this picture says what I mean, put the date in that spot)
-Make the Sense slider a little more "snappy" or something. I don't know how to explain this, but on a real Sense phone, you can just fling/throw the bar down and it unlocks as opposed to fully dragging it down. WL gets the slightest bit laggy for about half a second if you throw it down like that. I know, I'm nitpicking. Sorry :p
-Is this possible?
-Can you add... a SLIGHT shadow or something to the numbers that make up the time? They don't seem totally crisp or something, sort of like an image that has a resolution that's slightly too low. Or am I just seeing things?

^as you can probably tell, I love having Sense on my Moto Droid and want to make it perfect. and yes, I'm a wee bit of a perfectionist :p

Bigger things:

-Make an option to have 2 or more screens to slide between. I'm pretty sure FlyScreen offers something like this.

-I was reading through the beginning of this thread and I saw that you suggested that it might be possible to replace the slide to vibrate/silent with slide to unlock homescreen widgets? Would that be doable? (I didn't read through the whole thread so sorry if that's been answered). And if it is and you can implement it on the normal Android slider, would it be doable on the Sense one as well (i.e. drag it up about half an inch or so to unlock/lock widgets)

-I have an idea. I don't know how well I can explain it, but I'll try. I personally use WL for my music controls, but I'm not always listening to music and I don't always need them cluttering up my beautiful lock screen. Would it be possible to make a certain widget "hide-able" when the user does something like holds the back button, double taps the menu button, triple taps the widget, or something like that?

I'm trying to think of more ideas but I think I'm out for now haha.

I'm not developer so I don't know how relevant my ideas are or if they're possible, but I figured it can't hurt to throw them out there.

I've already recommended WL to a few of my friends with Android devices and they tell me they love it, and I do too so I hope you like my suggestions dancedroid

Oh, and what do you know. I checked the Market after typing this post and there's an update for WidgetLocker :D You're one of my favorite devs.

Like I suggested for the lock/unlock, sliding up a quarter or half inch could control sound? Don't know if this is feasible though.

One more thing, I have cheat mode enabled for whatever reason and I couldn't help but notice that there are two different numbers in milliseconds.. what's the seconds one?

And I'm always open for beta testing if you need it.

Cheat mode (type "qeeu", that's 1337 since the konami code seemed to awkward) will cause it to display two times, in milliseconds (1000 milliseconds is 1 second). The top time is the the time between receiving the SCREEN_OFF event and the WidgetLocker activity finishing it's onResume() function (so it should be displayed on the screen).

The bottom number is the time between SCREEN_OFF and when we found the system keyguard had activated. As of 1.0.2 or so WidgetLocker waits until the system keyguard has activated to activate, this is because if the timing is wrong the keyguard's activation can cause WidgetLocker to not activate until the screen goes on (So user sees system keyguard and easy wake mode doesn't work).

@fichdak: Thanks for the list of feature requests. I can't promise I'll get all of them, but it helps to know what users want.
Could you take a screenshot or photo of where the date is on your phone? It should be in the spot you desire already but I'll have to look into it.

Slide to camera/phone is something I definitely plan on adding in a future version. The original suggestion was to have a total of 4 sliders, standard unlock/mute, and a phone/camera one. But I might as well make it configurable.
Hiding music controls when music isn't playing is something I've gotten a few requests for (Or maybe you're just very vocal ;)). I'll need to play with this a bit. I've also gotten a request to be like the iPhone lockscreen where if you double-tap home it brings up the music controls.

Multiple screens is something I'm thinking about. A concern is memory usage and start-up time.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. It's nice to know what users want and what problems they are experiencing rather than just trying to guess.

Wait what dj you mean hiding music controls, so controls appear when music plays? I'm using pure music widget right now for music controls.

There's a feature request, that I will possibly add in the future, to set specific widgets to hide unless some conditions are met. For example you could specify you want the pure music widget to be hidden unless music is actually playing.

I would love that feature as well.

That would be interesting. Room for more widgets that way. But how would you unhide them?

I do tend to be quite vocal ;)

The Sense things are all no big deal, just a little off. Also, the clock sometimes gets cut off on the right side when a time with 4 numbers is displayed, like 11:23. Idk why the one in my screenshot didn't get cut off, but trust me lol some of the 11's were.

this is a moto droid by the way. on bugless beast froyo

It looks like you have a different font than me, which caused the layout problems. I shouldn't've made it so sensitive to that. I'll see if I can make it laid out correctly good regardless of font.
The shadow issue I identified. I had copied the shadow from the standard Android lockscreen clock, however Sense uses a much stronger shadow that looks better on the slider:

Yep, my fault. I changed the font a long while ago and forgot that I had changed it. Switched it back to stock and it's formatted well now. Shadow looks good in that picture though :D

Reset Long-Search????

Ok so i was just messing around with settings and what not and I set the Long-Search to go to Quick Compose for Handcent. Buuuuut, i want to change it to go to Voice Search instead. When i disable the Long-Search and then Re-enable it, it wont give me the options to change it... Anyone have an idea of how I can change this?? Maybe its a bug the Dev can work out?

Btw, this is by far the best app i have downloaded. WidgetLocker + PowerStrip = Epic! I dont even use a third launcher (LP, ADW, etc)! :icon_ banana:
