WidgetLocker +*~+*~+*~+*~+*-- WOW!!!

I meant to reply earlier. I think Phoenix is just thinking of QuickDesk because there was only very very preliminary shortcut support in WidgetLocker 1.0.4 and it wasn't user accessible. There's a slight chance that you could trick a shortcut to appear with some modifications to the database, but I don't even think that would've worked.

WidgetLocker 1.1 has shortcuts. Expect to see it later today.

Very cool, can't wait to check it out. I have been running your TeslaLED app for a few weeks and it has worked great. I just picked up the donate version due to your support here in the forums. Thank you and keep up the good work.

What I forgot to mention is that I have Folder Organizer, and with that you can make a widget out of just about anything. "Folder Organizer Label" and "Folder Organizer Item" appear in the list for both shortcut and widget choices. Mystery solved! :-)

Edit: just installed the update. Very cool. Now I don't have to go through Folder Organizer to make lockscreen shortcuts unless I want to change the icon.

Attention everyone, WidgetLocker 1.1.0 is released!
WidgetLocker Changelog | TeslaCoil Software
It should address most of the remaining bugs people were experiencing and it adds some nice new features like Shortcuts and a Sense UI slider. As always, feedback is welcome.

Also don't forget to comment on the Market :).

Awesome thanks for your support.

I like the look of the SenseUI slider but the ends don't do anything on a regular Droid, or did I miss an adjustment somewhere?

Slide the sense slider downwards.

Sounds like some people are not able to unlock always but the home button works. I'm out now but will investigate when I get home

does this really replace the unlock screen or will I have to unlock this then slide the real unlock screen. I swear I've tried something similar to this and that was the behavior of it.

This really replaces the lockscreen. You turn your screen on and see WidgetLocker. Click on a widget or shortcut and it activates, or slide to unlock in widgetlocker and get back to your last application. The Android System Keyguard is automatically dismissed by WidgetLocker.

Android doesn't provide an official way of doing this so once in a while there are lags which cause the standard Android keyguard to appear for a short while before WidgetLocker appears, but WidgetLocker 1.1 significantly reduced the occurrence of those cases.

Also if you use a secure lockscreen, such as the pattern lock or Android 2.2's pin or password, then those screens will appear after the WidgetLocker screen. This is by design as if you don't want a secure lockscreen you should disable it, rather than some application trying to bypass it for you.

OK, got that. But on the other sliders one slide turns the sound off. The Sense one doesn't do that, then? I guess I can use a silence widget of I want that one; I like the clock and date.
I tried no slider at all but I had to take the home button out of the equation. Home calls WL helper calls LP had a bit of lag sometimes. Now Back or the slider unlocks WL, which remains enabled. Home button just summons LP, Search longpress summons QD. All sorted -- I think.

Don't know if it was said already but everyone interested in QuickDesk should check out Power Strip by the Home+++ dev. It's not free (99Cents) but I feel it's a bit more versatile. So far widgetLocker is still working pretty well for me. But for a time my widgets kept resetting/disappearing and I can't pin-point the cause.

I read some of the comments and one said PS didn't work with LP -- are you using them together?
Also, can PS be configured to launch from long press of the search button, as QD can? The double tap thing doesn't work for me.

I'm using adw launcher now (because I can set it for 1 home screen), but when I was using launcher pro it seemed to work just as well. You can't configured for a long search button press but, it activates on one press of your home button. A double tap brings you to your home screen.

Works well for me as I have most of my widgets on power strip and widget locker. I rarely have to go to my home screen since I can access all my apps and widgets from power strip.

I'm confused. Power Strip activates from one press of the Home button then what activates ADW?
