Upgrade Questions?

So I pre ordered my phone two days ago however I messed up on one thing when pre ordering. Everything us correct except the 'bill name' I accidently placed my name instead of the card owner(used my mothers credit card)

I called Verizon to see if there would be any issue and they said that there wouldn't be, that everything will be ok and that my order looks good.

The thing is that I don't want them ti screw me out of my unlimited plan. Should I cancel the order and redo it?

Your unlimited is fine. When you ordered the phone you signed the new contract. The contract really has nothing to do with the phone. You could also call and redo the pre order it may move you back a day or two but at least you will know for your self that your unlimited days is safe. Tomorrow is the last day so you still have a little Bit of time
 
Is the bill-plan in your mother's name or in your name? If the plan is still in the same name as it was before then you are fine. It is okay if the credit card is in your mother's name. The card actually has to be in your mom's name if it is her card that is paying for it.

The sad thing is most places don't care what credit card you use. as long as they get their money they normally don't care what name is on it.

Lmfao .... i just placed a order using somebody's credit card I ment to put it in my name on the order tho! it went through but will that be a problem..... The stores answer.. No gimmie da money! Haha

So even if the payment didn't go through due to that name error it'll be ok? I don't mind getting the phone a day late too. The person I spoke to said that everything will be ok and not to worry. However some Verizon reps have a tendency to not know what they are talking about

Bill/account is under my name. Card is hers however she has access to my account(she can can and inquire about anything or change it too but I don't think that matters)

Once you sign the contract that starts the two year contract. But if you don't mind possible waiting a day or two more for the phone then I would cancel three order add redo it. there is nothing like having peace of mind about something. And Verizon changes things all the time. But I do know that my new 2 year contract started the day that I signed the contract.
 
Apparently the payment went through so you should be okay. They usually make sure the payment will clear while you are still on the phone. If they discover that the payment didn't go through then they will either call you to get the correct information or tack it onto your next bill. It also could have gone though because the credit card is already listed with them. I know when I make payments over the phone, they already have all my card information.

I did the upgrade/pre order on the website. I spoke to them today to see if it would be an issue
 
My upgrade is in November. I have tried twice now and I was unable to get an early upgrade to the sgs3..... Both reps went above and beyond. The second rep tried multiple departments with no luck. I heard the same reason both times which was "sorry but no upgrades on pre orders or no on iphones!!!! Short of speaking directly to a supervisor I am done begging. I want to keep my unlimited data so No more upgrades for me. It might be a blessing in disguise keeping me from locking into another 2 years.

Im totally happy with my rom'd Nexus. Ill wait till the dust clears and turn to the used market.

Yeah I just don't understand the pre order, I mean yeah it's not in stock but it will be.. whatever lol. I do understand the Iphone 4S because of the contract agreement, that's just Apple being Apple.

2 reasons for pre order

1. 9,000,000 phones already sold. So who knows when we will get are hands on them from are local store.

2. unlimited data. enough said
 
The name on the card does not matter, family pre order phones and buy phones for people with there credit/debit card all the time. Leave your pre order in the system or you will just have to wait longer.

The VZW rep in this case is right it wont effect your pre order.
