How to Enhance Battery Life HTC Hero
There are many ways to improve or even double the battery life of your HTC Hero phone.
Turn off the Always On Mobile Data Connection
This is one of the largest power-draining features on your phone.
Disable / Limit for weather updates, Facebook, Flicker and Twitter Apps
The permanent connections and updates drain your battery. You can manually update your Facebook and other accounts manually when needed. To turn the weather updates, just go in the menu settings on the weather app. While you’re at it, turn off all other apps you can not or will not use in the foreseeable future.
Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections
When not in use, these functions continue to use some great battery life. Disable this by going to the Settings menu and then Wireless Controls.
Disable Wireless Network Positioning Services
De-Select the Wireless Network Positioning service, select Menu, Settings, location, use, and Wireless Networks.
Lower brightness setting
Many mobile phones come with the screen brightness all the way up to standard. This is usually brighter than most people need to see well. Turn down the brightness to as low a setting as you can without straining the eyes treated.
Disable Background Data Option
Do not do this if want to stay synced with your Google services accounts constantly.You can still manually sync when you need to, I like to have a sync shortcut on the home screen for this. Disable background data will save a lot of battery, because it prevents connections running in the background. Go to menu, settings, data synchronization, clear the check box.
