[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

I can't tell the difference to tell the truth. I do however know that I will never go back to stock unless absoultly necessary. All hail cyanogenmod!!!!

I hear ya! Rooted GB isnt THAT bad, but i love all of the customizing I can do with CM7 and the go launcher! CM7 is a permanent fixture on my phone now(unless something amazing comes along, or i get the new bionic). Im done with flashing beside nightly/or whatever jakebites has.

Played w/the Bionic today...seemed fast, even w/stock OS. W/a slimmed down stock or custom ROM it would really fly. But if the Prime is coming to Verizon, that looks like the phone to covet.

If this is true...oh boy: "This upcoming superphone will not have any carrier preloads or OEM customizations, which goes without saying for a Nexus phone or a reference/flagship Android offering."

TBH worked to sbf. But when I did the ota update it locked up both times. Ezsbf worked the first time I tried it when updating to ota gb. It's something with the tbh file that stopped my ota update from working.

I flashed today's nightly build along with the newest jakebites mod, but this time I also added Kick Ass Kernel Tweaks and the 3G Turbo Charger, and my phone is wicked fast now. Sure I'll upgrade eventually, but as far as I'm concerned, my Droid 2 as it's cuurrently configured is the phone to beat right now (even without 4G, a dual-core processor, and a front-facing camera).

Best my phone has ever been.

Sure wish I could get that. I have all the same mods as you except I'm not overclock, and my battery last 6 hours with hardly any use :( Is yours an extended battery?

What is the newest nightly?? I'm on 9/3 but the newest one I see anywhere is 9/2. I'm confused... Can someone please post a link to where I can get the newest nighlies

9/8 came out today. You guys need to follow this thread, [DEV_THREAD]Droid 2 CM7 with Gingerbread Leak Kernel It's at the top

"CURRENT BUILD:
2011-09-08:"

For the guy only gets 6 hours of battery life load up your battery meter (settings about battery usage) and report back your top 5 things and how much time they used. Also my buddy had the exact phone with the same rom, he never ever charges his battery and lets it run dead all the time. He also only charges for like 5-10 minutes when he is super low and gets back up to like 20-30%. If you do that your destroying your battery. He bought a new one on amazon for $5 and now charges it all the way up and every night. He is getting way better battery life. Might be something worth trying. Sometimes you get a bad or you kill your battery. It happens.

Sorry brother they is what they is. I am pretty pleased though. I may even wait until next year to get a new phone.

Lol! Just giving you a hard time man. Those are some awesome levels though. I switched to the ondemand governor, and that seems to have helped me. I'll flash the new rom tomorrow night and post some levels up after I get home from work.
