[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

Here's the Netflix fix (from Rev) if anyone wants to edit their build.prop file (in /System):

The line that needs to be commented out is at the end of the build.prop file...you can put a # in front of it as below to comment it out.

...
ro.config.alarm_alert=Alarm_Beep_03.ogg
ro.modversion=CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC0-DROID2-KANG
# ro.kernel.android.checkjni=1
ro.setupwizard.mode=OPTIONAL
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=m=y
net.bt.name=Android
dalvik.vm.stack-trace-file=/data/anr/traces.txt

Worked perfectly, 1.3 netflix now works.

I've attached a totally stock, CM7GB build.prop file with that one edit made. You can replace your existing stock build.prop file with it if you want to skip editing the file yourself. Be sure to set permissions/ownership on the file the same as the existing build.prop (which you should rename). Then reboot.

The file is named as a .zip file but it's not, simply delete the .d2.zip at the end, it's a simple build.prop text file. I did this and Netflix 1.3 plays perfectly fine again.

If you're running Jake's mods then you either need to edit your own file, as this build.prop has none of his customizations.

If none of this makes sense to you, then don't do it. :)

thanks build.prop fix worked great. This is a prime example of why I run cm7 mod. Special thanks to Rev and Redflea.

Hmmm. I did the build.prop edit (and double checked to make sure it was there) but Netflix still won't play for me. The only difference is I am on the build before the 9/03 release of CM4D2-GB. Could that be causing my issue? EDIT: and I did reinstall Netflix to be sure that wasn't it.

You need to flash 9/03 build, then apply the fix. Then you'll be golden...and you should be on the 9/3 build anyway.

Nope, didn't fix it. Just got done flashing the 9/03 build, redid the fix, double checked, and still not getting Netflix to work.

It is this moment that I am glad I have not yet purchased a netflix account. Should be getting my bionic today anyway, will keep this phone to mess around with.

Rev's new build is up! You can dl the 9-8-2011 nightly over again rootzwiki. Happy flashing!

Thanks for the heads-up Idopa. I've been getting the jones for a new flash!

Flashing this version fixed my camera issues but now my Netflix is down also

Known issue, I posted the issue and fix a couple pages back. Easy fix, might be fixed in the newest (9/8) nightly (downloading now, I'll post - or someone else can check and post), but if not, it's a simple edit to the build.prop file.

Can someone who's flashed 9/8 look at build.prop at the very end and confirm if the checkjni line has been commented out (# in front of it) or removed?

Edit: Looks like the checkjni line has been removed, so the 9/8 build will clear up the Netflix issues that some of us have been experiencing. Thanks for confirming, Idopa.

Idopa - I think you said you run the LBE security service, right?

I can't get it to start on 9/08 build...I launch the app and it says it can't start the service and to try rebooting. Did that and it still can't start its service when launched. Just wiped data and rebooted but that didn't help, and uninstall/reinstall also did not fix it.

Are you having any issues w/LBE on 9/8 build?

I sure hope this isn't a just-me! <eek>

Well, this version did fix Netflix for me. Wonder why the other way didn't work?
