Why shouldnt i do it

Really?

Just get the phone you think will work best for you. If it's an iPhone, then get an iPhone.

Get the one that you want. I'm not signed up for any commissions so it makes no difference which you go for. You should have 30 days to change your mind.

When it comes down to it you get the phone you want. The big platforms out there all sell lots of phones. While apple basically has one phone Rim, Android, Web O/S, etc have various phones. If the Droid was "the phone" for everyone then everyone would have one. Try it, like it, stick with it...or try it, don't like it, and keep searching for that perfect phone.

For now...I've got mine and that's all the reason I need for me not to switch.

No touch screen, skittish track ball, non-intuitive OS, small screen, smaller keyboard, limited apps... If those are things that you prefer, the Tour is the logical choice. The interface that BB uses just seem so counter-intuitive to me whereas the Droid seems so logical, at least to me. :motdroidhoriz:

I will never try to talk you into or out of a phone. It's strictly your decision. However, having said that, you are on the cutting edge of technology and an early adopter of an Android phone. I just read today that 39% of all RIM users would switch to an iPhone. That said, a good number of those 39% don't know anything about the Android phones, so given a chance to look at an iPhone and an Android, I have a feeling a good number of the 39% who would switch would go Android. The article said that RIM will more than likely be the #3 smartphone in the near future behind both Apple and Android.
