Superuser Permissions not working on Droid X?

I'm a huge droid x fan as you can tell from my user name!
Anyway I've been having problems with superuser permissions...
I used universal androot to get superuser permissions and i recently got the android 2.2 update...and now I see that superuser is no longer working?
Why and how can I fix this?

Hey, having a similar problem with my Droid Incredible, have 2.2, also rooted using clockworkmod, everything was working fine...but now root explorer (or any other rom that requires root access for that matter) will not work, they all give a similar error message indicating that I need to allow superuser permission, which I have...but for some reason it wont allow them. They were listed under the allowed apps/roms, so I forgot them all, then tried again and it doesnt give me the prompt it did the first time...help please

you will lose root using any VZW OTA. just reroot

I can't....whenever I try to on universal androot it fails...

Oh and I'm having the same pelican the gut with the droid incredible if having except with the x...and if I reroot will I lose any data?

rerooting should not affect data.
