Ok folks have a seat, let’s talk some Magic!

We know that Gingerbread is the talk of the town at this time, but our Magic comes from Froyo! Sourcery is designed from the ground up for ease of use, and stability. We are releasing what we believe is magically fast, and stable. Gingerbread, on the other hand, is not at this stage yet. We will continue to watch the status of Gingerbread, and when it is able to meet our standards of excellence we will port to it.

With that out of the way, Welcome to Sourcery! To see the list of features for the ROM please check the change log. This ROM was designed for Clockwork Recovery using it everything is a 1 touch magic fix. However, it is also 100% compatible with Sprecovery. The only difference is you will need to install the update.zip manually for some of the magic.

We have instituted some features to insure you easily stay up to date. We will offer the new apps as they come out unthemed as soon as we know about them and once themed they will be pushed through our settings.
There are several features inside settings that will allow you to customize your phone the way you want it to be. This is not the CM push notifications you will need to check Rom Update. Please feel free to use this feature whenever you want it will close quickly if there is no update available and will install the update if there is one. We will communicate when there is one by IRC (#sourcery), at the website (Sourcery ROM), tweets will be posted at twitter (@Sourceryrom), and as always on Droid Forums.

We will be available for live support at IRC #sourcery don’t worry if you don’t know what that is go to Sourceryrom.com, and choose the IRC tab its magically easy!

We do have 2 known issues.
1) When setting an alarm it works both by voice and by hand. After setting the alarm it brings you to the alarm list you cannot see the time. This is due to the background theming behind text such as in settings. We are not sure but feel the tradeoff is worth it but we will continue to work on it and when fixed an update will be available.
2) Secondly when in the call log occasionally the words will be squished up also due to the background theming. This will be worked on as well but for a short term fix you can scroll up and down and it should fix itself or you can just exit the call log and come back to it and it will fix itself.

Ok folks its here
I have been up all night to get this ready so im going to bed.
wanted to help with a few pointers before i go.
1)When in setting some functions will reboot your phone if in ClockWork recovery it will do everything for you and reboot.
If using Sprecovery when it boots to recovery do an update zip install as you would a rom.
2) If installing alt keyboards after doing so in Magic settings go to regualr android keyboard settings to activate.
3) the alternate browser is muiu and would not install on the dock bar so if you choose alt browser it will be in the app drawer.
when you return to stock it will return to the dock bar.
4) romupdate is Off
5) google updated google search recently not sure when noticed during testing tonight. Could not include it without delaying release, It does
Not appear to have much for droid 1, but we will get this out to you through rom update in the near future.
6) to enable compcache
a)install a compcache enabled kernal(easy install to slayhers available through Magic settings.(will reboot)
b)install compcache support(will reboot)
c) press start compache start(will not reboot) can be checked thru terminal by typing su compcache stats
This was done this wasy due to problems compcache has caused some people and requests that some do not want it.
also if you reboot it will need to be started by doing action c only.

7) There are settings called Fix 1,2,3 these are for our live tech support features and may be set up for a specific user. Please do not use these unless instructed by our website or Myself or GFLam. Doing so could damage your install and cause a need of a reinstall of whole rom..

8) many items in settings require download so be patient. Themes will download over 3g but remember they are larger files so we suggest wifi connections for them. and dont forget to look below the themes for even more awesome animations available (thanks to stale bread)

Only 1 question. It says my launcher pro is out of date when I try to run certain ROM specific widgets. Is ADW the preferred launcher? Not a big deal breaker, but just curious. Otherwise, very clean, fast, and stable.
