Screenshots of peoples Droid desktops?

Here is mine...right now my biggest issue is trying to find a background that I a) like that b) goes with my icons/theme. Driving me nuts. I might make that my mission in life this weekend....to find a good BG. You can see my custom launcher there...

WOW DUDE!.... is that the ultimate v7? i don't remember quite well if that's what you said it was. very cool.

judging by his icons i'm gonna go ahead and say he's running BB...

He is, plus that is his custom launcher, which is different from the UD one.

Ok so how do you get the round battery meter? I am currently running Cyanogen 5.0.5.3... i simply love the icon that way. Any help would be great. Thanks.

can't...stop.....tinkering....must... put.... droid down....to many ....possibilities

I see you made your launcher icons larger. May I ask what resolution you scaled them to this time?

These are Scaled to 60X60. For some reason these icons stayed relatively intact when I dragged them into the Helix. I think it has to do with the simple crisp edges of the icon set. My theory is if the edges of the icon are busy then they get all jacked up in the helix launcher. The icons original sizes are 512X512:icon_eek: or 120X120. So you pretty much have to re-size them if you are going to use these.

I forgot to reference the round battery by Switchblade. Here is the post where you can get the metamorph theme.

Does this just work with Metamorph? Does Metamorph work with Cyanogen... please keep in mind i am a first time rooter (yesterday)

I have never flashed Cyanogen...but from what I understand Metamorph (MM) will work with any ROM as long as there is room in the system partition to create copies of the files it is replacing.

For example when I flashed Ultimate v8 and tried to install the round icon via MM my droid just rebooted...apparently the system partition was full and making changes cuased the little guy to shut down. No harm done...I just went back to Ultimate 7.8
Before I do ANYTHING to my droids framework or OS, I create a nandroid backup.

If you back your current config up you could probably give it a try with low risk...and if for some reason something goes horribly wrong, you can boot into recovery and reload your last good configuration.

ok so i saw metamorph on the market great. but it says i also need busybox... is that still true? i was able to find some kind lousy MM/busybox install guides and if someone has more detailed ones that would be cool also.

Launch "Terminal Emulator"...if you don't have it,,,go get it from the market. At the prompt type 'Busybox' (with out the ' ). If it is installed already you should get a screen that looks like this

busybox.png

If it is not installed it will probably say something like "no found" or some other thing.

I used something called "DroidRootHelper" to get mine installed. I don't know if that is around anymore. The Hacking help subforum on this site is a good place to go if Busybox is not installed

Well i just tried the busybox command it i got the screen you posted above. Sooo i think it came with the cyanogen mod because i did not install ti on my own. Does that sound right?

So i have Metamorph installed and want to apply the battery indicator... do i just load that zip on to it?
Also if i apply a total theme to my current setup do i need to re set up all my icons and widgets?

...

flash will show up sooner or later

easiest way to root is DroidMod - Everything Droid doesn't, DroidMod does. download their updater it will root for you basicly and install the recovery app for you if you run it a second time from there just have to decide on the rom you want :)

Well, is it possible we can still do the multiple screens afterwards? I mean since it's not coming with the official update, can we still use these apps to do it? I really want that too. lol

please say yes... pleasesayyes... pulleeeeeze say yeeeessss!!! lol

Your Widgets and Icons will be unaffected. The cool thing about MM is it just changes the files that are int eh Theme. In this case the only thing that is changed is the png files for the battery level.

Fanfriggen tastic. Last question i swear... what if i download a theme and apply it, then want to revert back to the old one. will that be easy also?
