rooting ICS. 217

So--had to flash. 217 after totally fubar-ing my phone.

(Tried to flash a gsm razr rom. Not good.):blink:

Flashed. 217 and got it running. Could NOT get it rooted.

Stumbled onto razrs_edge root tool.

Same guy that did moto_fail.

Worked. Like. A. Charm.

In case anyone finds themselves in similar situation .:icon_ banana:

I downloaded the latest Droid4 Uitility, (2.0). It would shut down right after start-up. Found/downloaded razrs_edge_windows, it worked just fine, so simple I was nearly worried about it be so simple.

Too bad about my Droid4 utility, I very much like/liked the tool from past experience(s) with the un-root option and other tools that came with.

Any suggestions out there on the hows & whys it was shutting down on me?
