What would happen if someone forever roots their Bionic, installed the .893 OTA update, and flashed a ROM and somehow bricked their phone?

Any fastboot recovery method will format \system which is where the exploit is located, correct? Thus leaving you with a stock Bionic that can't be rooted (?).

I OTA'd my Bionic to .893 to upgrade the radio and kernel, then flashed back to down .886, which lost the forever root. This kills all the One-click roots.

However, all was not lost.

Fastboot, flash Stock ROM, apply forever Root. NOTE: The .bat file is missing a couple "wait-for-device" commands and the OP in that thread hasn't gotten around to modifying the original post. The script will fail every time and you won't regain root back until the commands are added. I spent quit a while yesterday figuring that out. Read the first AND second pages of that thread for proper instructions.
