That was mentioned earlier on the newscast.
The biggest is that Cyanogen can start working on compiling a rom based on 2.2 source code and then Koush can port that to the Droid.
It should also mean it's release (official OTA 2.2 update) is very close.
It means the source code for Froyo is available, and cyanogen can now build a proper Froyo release.

It means that Roms can now be compiled from Google's source and will start to be of the same quality as the OS that Google will be putting out, but with added features that could only be made completely stable with access from the source... think the force close issue on with playlists on Eliot Stocker's overhauled music app... stuff like that can now be made stable. Great news.

CM6 is going to target the Droid.....no need to do a major port.
Well, I think cyanogen just meant that koush will handle the Droid end of things, as he always has.
