Next System Update…3.0.0 for D2

Root explorer works just fine for me.
As for battery issues, i've always use autokiller and autorun kill to take care off background processes and services.

The one issue I do have is that my sync icon is always on. Every account is working fine and I can still manually sync everything google. Maybe its the new blur sync account they assigned me. Idk

Suggestions?

Ok so I've had 3.0 on my phone for about a day and everything worked fine. Well when I go to unplug if off the charger this morning about 10 mins off it just reboots, then constantly reboots after it goes the main screen after about 5-10 mins. Anyone else experiencing this?

How did p3droid get this? Is this a beta build of the 3.0 firmware?
Are there any benefits to getting a new kernel with this update?

This was over on droid-life several days ago. It explains completely what it is.

Hookbill I am surprised to see you rooting and all that good stuff. You held out for a very long time and was a very resistant.

Me? I've been rooting since root first became available. I started with the original Droidmod. I removed it for 2.1, then I didn't root for a while but I've never said I was against rooting. At that time I chose not to root. Now when 2.2 started leaking originally you could get it without having to root, at least the first version. Then another version came out and that one rooted me, don't ask me how. I kept my D1 rooted then I moved to the D2. I was never against rooting the D2 I just felt it was awful complicated and it was. Then z4Root came out and I think I was one of the first one's at least in DF to use it. Since then I have sbf twice and rooted back twice using z4Root.

What I have never done is used any ROM other then droidmod. I'm very stubborn about that and have refused to do it. I like the way my phone looks and runs just being rooted and overclocked. Plus I get to use all the other rooted apps.

I have other reasons for not wanting to run Custom ROMs that I won't get into on line. But I never discourage anyone from rooting.

That's what it was... you avoided the Roms... saves a lot of time anyway ...

been using all day the battery life is not great, it lags a little, but it is functional and is something to play wit until the official release has been released.
