NEW DROID OTA UPDATE ALERT (still 2.1)

Plus I never even got the 2.1 update, not that I wanted it, just sayin'

Sent from my Droid thru Time and Space

This I put on Verizon for wanting to flash a new image, I doubt Motorola or Google wants this done since the Droid is used as a development phone.

Didn't all the ROM makers include the feature to block the last 2.1 upgrade, if so why wouldn't this work again?

From someone at alldroid:

# begin build properties

ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.1-update1/ESE81/29593:user/release-keys
# end build properties

only thing that looks fishy to me is the build date...if it was a recent build wouldnt it say may instead of march?

That does sound fishy.

Renamed to update.zip and installing update now

Christim is also helping me along in GTalk

Let me ask a question, if we have been using ROM manager and wiped data/cache a million times for clean ROM installs over the last few months how do we know if SPRecovery is still I guess active? I see I have two files(they look white in Astro) that say recovery-0.99.3 and 3b on my SD card but I can't open them...does this sound right?

The alldroid sholes-ota zip file was exactly 66.6 mb, I rebooted after installing the zip file and firmware version is 2.1 update1 so I guess it's the same

Going to try SBF now

What a brave mod we have in Vulcan everyone thank him for his bravery
