I can't get the other PDF file to come up here @ work so I can't compare the two files .. The one here at work looks like this ,,,

Top says,, Motorola Droid with Verizonwirless over to the right

Left side top has "Software updates"

Left side bottom has Specs"

The rest of the page showes three pictures,, 1. Droid , 2. Droid in car mount , 3. Droid in Multimedia Station ..

Does this sound like the same PDF file ??

I hate to say this but I just showed this to my wife who works as a switch tech and she nearly laughed at it's authinticity. Ouch

But my thoughts are if it's not legit, it's only a matter of time..... before we either get it legit, or work around it ourselves.

I also just contacted a close friend of mine who is a Verizon Retail Agent and he laughed as well. He said there was no email sent out by Motorola.

The wait for updateis making this look like this may not be worth waiting for anyway.. Very very disappointed with all this.. I am tired of coming to this thread almost everyday and finding out nothing is happening.

Then don't. Since it will be over the air you will get it when you get it anyway. Pretend its a Christmas present that you already know what it is but you are going to act surprised when you open it anyway.

not necessarily. once it goes OTA it will be uploaded to the net. and to this thread. and when it does. i will grab it. because it will most likely be staggered... ie. 10k one day. 50k next. 100k next. and so on. (numbers are just examples).

and if im not first. im manually installing. i would rather be stock and up to date instead of modded. you know? like im only rooted for the mean time. once 2.1 comes out im sure ill root... but like i wont be looking to do anything other than overclocking.

No, I understand this and I feel thats probably why a majority of us hover this thread. I was just giving a simple resolution to someone who is so distraught by the lack of an update that they are tired of coming to the thread. Easy solution: Don't come to the thread.

Sorry, but it would be nice to see some thing. I am one of those that are root virgin and don't want too. But its coming so close into doing it. First android devise I have owned and love it.

Rooting just as easy as jailbreaking iPod/iPhone?
