Why is it we have to go through this same Weenie Whiner stuff every time and update comes close?
Some of you sure you don't want to go stand in the corner and hold your breath until you get the update???

Lol. This is so typical of every update I've seen over the past two years and 3 smart phones. For those waiting just be patient it will be worth the wait. For those of you rooted be respectful to those who are waiting. There is no reason to get nasty with each other. Its just a phone.

OK, if you guys can remember WAAAAAY back when (circa March 2010), When the official OTA was coming, VZW had something about it on their website. When that news broke here on DF, they had a pic of the VZW page and a link to it in the News section here. Until you see similar handling of the date and/or information, there is really no sense in getting riled up/anxious/impatient/upset/borderline e-belligerent about the official 2.2 update. They said it's coming, and with their current Android media push, falling behind will def mess with their bottom line. IF they care about noting or no one else, they care about that. Be cool guys, we'll get that official Froyo goodness soon.

Well VZW won't post it on thier site yet, and if we get more info we will post it........having said that 08 week 2 is a safe bet

For me, the Froyo update is critical to save precious life. Thanks to the absurd amount of time it was taking me to update each and every app manually, I quit updating them completely except for the top 4 or 5. Froyo supposedly adds the sorely missed "update all" button that should have been already included.

Tell me about it. I picked up my wife's droid to upgrade Swiftkey on it and she hadn't updated 28 applications - some which were expiring.

She needs the auto update BADLY - I ended up doing the 28 - fun.

Haha, yeah. I'm guessing that the actual update will be August 4th. However, it'll also be announced on July 19th, 23rd, and 31st.

honestly no hurry, running froyo roms I am running happy, fast and stable.. so no worries for me when it comes
