When i respond to a message that was sent to me and other people it goes to everyone it was originally sent to even if they are not a contact of mine. Is there anyway to just respond without starting a new thread to just that person

When you get a message from "multiple recipients" and you only want to reply to one of the people, tap on the pic next to the words "multiple recipients" and it should bring up a list of everyone, allowing you to just chose one person. That little pic is actually a grid of 4 smaller contact pics, or 4 generic silhouettes if you don't have a pic saved for them in your contacts. I figured this out after I replied to EVERYONE with a message that wasn't meant for anyone but the person who messaged me!
