Is the THUNDERBOLT Worth the change?

Many of the Thunderbolt owners were X owners and it seems they do not regret getting it...

The Thunderbolt is a nice phone; love mine. But I'd hold onto your Droid X a bit longer. Another option is upgrading to the Droid X² or something better in the Summer.

Any reason, you want to upgrade from your Droid X?

We jus got our ccount reactivated and i need to replace the X due to power issues it keeps turning off on me...So i was thinking just go with the bolt or......

It is the best phone for Verizon at this time...If you are in a 4g area even better....

iPhone! ;) I went from a Droid to the Thunderbolt and although i sacrificed the real keyboard, I couldn't have been any happier. I love everything about it and the speed of 4g is worth it. The only verizon phone coming out relatively soon that can compare is the Bionic as the Charge seems a little worse

Ah. Well the Thunderbolt is a good choice. I'd like to point out that the Incredible 2 comes out this week as well. It's worth looking at. The just basically a compact 3G version of the TB.

I had an X before my TB and let me tell you, I haven't looked back once and thought..."I miss that about my X", NOT ONCE!!! You could always go with the X2 this summer, but for me I was over the X all together. The way it looked, the graphics, the way it felt in my hand, that stupid lip on the back top end, bad battery life. I LOVE everything about my TB. After years of watching people root their phones and getting all the goodies, I finally took the plunge 3 days after getting my TB. What a fantastic experience. Battery life has always been the biggest complaint among TB's but after rooting and having more control over how your battery opperates, my battery last all day and into the night. I love how the TB looks, feels and performs. I would buy the TB in a second if I were you and thinking about making a change.

I agree, but I came from a fascinate. Got tired of waiting on Froyo. This tb is the shiiiiiiiiit! I love everything thing about it. My battery just as long as my fascinate did so I don't have any complaits about the battery. I have not rooted because there was a rumor about getting gingerbread on the tb in a couple of months. So waiting till then. If not, best believe I will root this bad boy. I have rooted every droid I've had (og droid, incredible, x, droid II, fascinate, and soon the tb)

Mmmm....it is nice, I upgraded to the tbolt from the x and I didn't notice a whole lot of reasons to upgrade...4g is my biggest reason. The phone is a little faster but honestly I like the way the x looks a little better. The dialer and contacts manager is way nicer on the x but go dialer, contacts and sms fixed that...i is a nice phone but I could have lived with my x...just my .02 cents

I love the thunderbolt. If you don't have 4G available though, it takes away a big reason to get it. But it is still the most recent phone on VZW that has the released kernel code. And root it when you get it, there's no point in waiting as the GB ROMs will come only days after the stock GB and you will likely have to flash back to froyo to get root and then upgrade to a custom GB ROM anyways

just to add another opinion of mine....

again coming from the X, Since being on the TB I have not used 4g once and still love this phone leaps and bounds. 4G isn't available yet in portland and even if it was I still wouldn't use it. my TB is plenty fast (Faster than my X was) and 4G will suck the battery dry.

+1

And to add something, the only time I do use my 4G is when that new ROM is released that I can't wait to DL or when my TB is tethering... Either way, the speed are wicked fast...
