HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Part of me wants to jump on the Thunderbolt, but this voice in my head keeps whispering to me "but it's HTC". That's my biggest fear, I've dealt with HTC both when I worked at VZW and seen the Eris and considered all HTC products as epic fails. Maybe the T-bolt will be different.

I'm the exact opposite. I've been contemplating the Bionic since the TB isn't a big enough upgrade from my X, but I keep remembering that its a Motorola phone.

When I had an Incredible, the phone ran amazingly smooth. I had no need for a home replacement because Sense was just as good (from a performance point of view, yes it doesn't have all the customization options). The phone would rarely lock up or ever need restarts/battery pulls. My only complaint was that it was a bit cheap feeling, being all plastic.

In the first week I had my X, I had more crashes, lock ups, and battery pulls than I had in the 3 months I had the Incredible. Motoblur is buggy, laggy, and simply not in the same league as Sense. On the plus side, Moto makes some good hardware and the X feels like a tank -a solid, durable phone. However, with the TB being aluminum, I don't I have to worry about cheap feeling phones from HTC anymore.

My guess.... Verizon makes announcement Thursday, after MWC has ended, so they can steal the thunder from everything else that is announced. Then, we should see it available for sale 1 week after, on the 24th. That's Verizon's middle finger to everything that happens this week, since they didnt have any big press events at MWC.

This will be my first HTC phone. I've read good things with the exception of battery life. That can be remedied with an aftermarket battery if needed. I've used Moto products for a long time including two way radios and of course my Droid. No major issues with any of Moto's products so far.

I don't think the T-Bolt is the phone after the dream phone or is it the dream phone but having my daughter's upgrade this summer makes it easier to jump on the T-Bolt when (if?) :D released.

Wait huh? That spec sheet says it only has 4gb of memory built in and a 16gb card. I thought they have said it was 8 gb built in and a 32 gb card?

It also says a hdmi adapter is supported which we also know to be false. At this point, the specs for this are in stone.

Accessories Supported: HDMI Adapter

Not to burst everyones bubble of the exitement of the release but....we still have seen nothing on 4g pricing...

i believe we're assuming that will go with or short after the TB announcement. otherwise you'd have this.

"so 4G LTE will cost such and such...no release date on TB yet bai."

It is most likely to stay the same pricing starting out so it may be a good idea to lock into that pricing because I can bet you they'll increase it at some point or do tiered data.

What is tiered data plan?
Never had a smart phone or any kind of data plan.

Just means not unlimited. The more data you think you'll need every month, the more you pay (2gb per month $30/month instead of unlimited for $30/month, or something like that).

Well ya, every source I've asked thinks it'll stay the same because of limited availability (I def think this too) and ya you bet I'm going to granfather that in lol! I actually happen to be in a great 4g area hahaha so this kicks some serious ass for me, I'm just wondering why they aren't doing what sprint did, my bro has the evo and he lives in lake havasu and they barely have 1st gen towers there lol and they made him by the extra $10, but verizon is smarter I think:)
