HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Do you think they have the IMEI numbers of the phones ?
Ok, I stopped by my BB this afternoon and talked to the same girl that I did my pre-order with. She said that she just checked with her manager and that tomorrow was still on. She said they will go through the list of people and call them to setup an appointment to pick it up. I pre-ordered the day pre-orders started early afternoon and she had to double check the date to make sure I could pre-order that date so I'm pretty sure I'm in the at least top 3 on the list. I don't know how many are the list and she wasn't either but she sounded like there were not very many. This is in Wichita KS btw, pretty small compared to say a major city, can't think tons of people would be after it consider the low amount of advertising. I probably won't actually get it until early evening if they do setup an appointment because of work but if/when I do i'll let you guys know and post pics to prove it. Wish me luck.
tl;dr I should get a call tomorrow to pick up my TB, I'll post pics when I do =)
I just called my local bb in waldorf, md and they said that verizon still hasn't given them a release date, but it will be out this month sometime. Not sure how he knew it would be out this month since he just told me that verizon still hasn't given them a release date, but oh well. Just thought id share the info that I got.

Good Luck! i hope that everything goes according to plan with the release being tomarrow...i also pre-ordered mine first day and when i did i believe i was the first one bcuz they acted like they didnt even know what i was talkn about at first untill a manager confirmed and told the rep how to go about setting my order up...

Yeah, seriously I hope you get it. I just want to see that some people are getting them, even if I don't get mine. If some people are getting them there will be reviews and what not :icon_ banana:

Yeah I'm curious to see if people get their phones tomorrow. If they do I'm going to complain to Verizon. Being a loyal customer for so many years, they're being completely unfair in the way they're going about this. If the phone is being sold tomorrow then it should be available on the Verizon website, but of course it won't be.

I called BB Mobile, they wanted my name, email etc they must be keeping track of those who call in. I was told it was pushed back so the 14th was off, new date is TBD, I pushed back on re: 24th no reply.
I called the local BB where I did my pre-order (5th in line) they now have 25 people which isn't bad considering how little marketing it got other than the circular last week. I asked about tomorrow, he wasn't the rep I dealt with & he was clueless, actually had to ask someone else info. Got the same thing its delayed, that my pre-order was still good and I will get a call. He said they will put the pre-ordres aside with the persons name on it etc. They must be giving people a couple of days to come in once they arrive before they go into regular stock.
Disappointed, you bet. Verizon is rolling back to the old days of screw you mr/mrs. customer, they got fat, dumb and happy off the Android line, they have the iPhone and now that the rencent changes are done (apple ordered or not) they can and will screw users over. Sad, they were actually starting to be less evil, not totally well behaved but less evil.

VZW has not completely done away with one year contracts, have they? Though my contract and NE2 are not due until July, I know that I am eligible for the annual early upgrade. So when I shop for phones on the VZW site, I can see my two-year contract discounted prices. However there is a drop down to select "Pricing for" but it can only be "2-year contract". There is no option for 1-year like there should be. Anyone else?
I've read that BB cannot do the early upgrade or one-year contracts but now I am wondering about if VZW can do a one-year deal. I have seen folk report estimated prices for the TB of $250 2-year and like $329 with a 1-year contract and was thinking 1-year was the way to go to give flexibility for a dual-core design in 2012.

Yep, just got called from my bb, and its not goin to be there tomorrow. What a bunch of idiots. Telling people all week that the phone will be there and then the night before calling u telling u it isn't. Bb people are the biggest Melton I have ever dealt with, after this phone I will never buy from them again.
